Extermination of the European Jews: memorials

- Grosse Hamburger Strasse:
a former Jewish retirement home
was turned into a collection point
for deportation by the Gestapo.
- "Stumbling Stones": brass plates with
the names of deported jewish citizens
on the sidewalk in front of the houses,
where they used to live in.
- Jewish Museum by Daniel Libeskind,
including the Holocaust Tower and
the Garden of Exile.
- Topography of Terror: area of the
former headquarters of the SS and Gestapo.
- Holocaust Memorial: memorial to the
extermination of the European Jews,
built by Peter Eisenmann.
- Holocaust Museum: history of the Shoah,
underneath the Holocaust Memorial.
- "Track Seventeen" and "Wall of Shadows":
train station in "Grunewald" residential
area from where most of the Berlin Jews
were deported to Auschwitz and Terezin.
- House of the Wannsee Conference:
where the meeting took place to organize
the "Final Solution".
